Luego de la represión estatal en Argentina que censuró la obra de Rodolfo Walsh y cometió su asesinato en 1977, el autor fue recuperado como intelectual comprometido por el periodismo de investigación, la literatura testimonial y la militancia política. Esta rehabilitación póstuma, conectada a construcciones de memoria colectiva en las décadas del 80 y del 90, acaso obturara la indagación de tensiones productivas que circulan bajo la fijación de Walsh como exponente de la dicotomía literatura/política fechada hacia 1970. Su escritura genera una poética política externa a clasificaciones, que modifica el estado de la crítica y actualiza conflictos culturales tramados en la tradición maleable de la lengua nacional. El examen de las operaciones críticas funcionales en la canonización argentina de Walsh permite revisar los modos de encarar la división modernista entre arte y cultura. Dicho recorrido metacrítico construye la perspectiva para rastrear dos zonas de cruce entre escritura y lectura: las acciones lectoras, habladas/escritas en formas de ensayo, autobiografía, carta, entrevista, que dinamizan la tradición después de Borges, y la proyección fuera de género, entre planes, borradores, series de crónicas y de cuentos, de una novela no manifiesta e incesante.
