Kos ( KOS, Koss ) - preußischen Adelswappen , wahrscheinlich von westeuropäischen Ursprungs . Wird von etwa 20 Familien, hauptsächlich in Königlich Preußen , sowie in Masowien und Litauen verwendet .

Im silbernen Feld befinden sich drei rote Schrägen. Edelstein : drei Straußenfedern. Rote Labras , mit Silber gefüttert .

Die Familie Kalkstein verwendete das Kos-Wappen, anders, sie haben drei Streifen über dem Schild, einen untereinander, direkt über dem Helm, und den Jägerflügel und die Krone zwischen den beiden Trompeten

Das Wappen erwähnt von Niesiecki , Dachnowski ( Wappen der königlichen Preußen Adel ), Ostrowski ( Buch der Wappen der polnischen Familien ) und Chrząński ( Variation Tabellen ).

In den Jahren 1565 und 1570 besaß die Familie die Dörfer Belno , Jarzębiniec , Korytowo , Łaszewo , Osłowo und Teile der Dörfer Biechowo , Buczek , Krąplewice , Lipno im Kreis wiecie . Jan Kos (gestorben 1662) war in den Jahren 1636–1643 Fahnenträger von Chełmno, in den Jahren 1643–1648 Kastellan von Elbing, 1648–1662 Woiwode von Chełmno, preußischer Schatzmeister 1649–1655, sowie der Starost von Borzechów, Brodnica und Kowalewski. Ein weiterer Jan Kos(gestorben 1702) in den Jahren 1677–1685 preußischer Schwertfisch, 1685–1688 Kastellan von Livland, 1688–1702 Woiwodschaft Chełmno.
