Die mythologische Gestalt des Kairos (griech. ??????) steht für den rechten Augenblick, den es zu erkennen gilt. René Kanzler greift dieses Motiv in Form von dithyrambischer Lyrik neu auf: Aus dem wagemutigen Kampf eines Menschen mit sich und mit seiner Umwelt ergibt sich die Erkenntnis der scheinbar alternativlosen Monotonie des Alltagslebens. Doch durch was zeichnet sie sich aus? Was sind die alltäglich lähmenden Kreisgleichschrittgänge? Und noch wichtiger: Welche Alternativen gibt es? Heute ist es mehr denn je an der Zeit, den Kreis zu verlassen, diese Wiederkehr des ewig Gleichen zu durchbrechen. In seinen »Reden« wird uns der Protagonist schließlich konkrete Vorschläge vermitteln, wie dieser gewaltige Schritt möglich wird. So erfährt was 1883 von Friedrich Nietzsche ins Leben gerufen wurde im ›Kairos‹ eine Wiedergeburt. Doch vieles wird hier weiter zurückgedacht, neugedacht, umgedacht: »Lächerlich ist das Ziel des Übermenschen; wir müssen alles daran setzen, erst einmal wieder Menschen zu werden!«
