Preceduto da "Vita, conoscenza" (2018), il volume collettaneo "Dal ritmo alla legge" propone una retrospettiva sui lavori svolti nel 2016-2017, offrendo una panoramica che incrocia punti di vista differenti e convergenti. Oggetto d'indagine condiviso è l'origine ritmica della legge, intesa come istanza «metrica» che educa l'azione umana, in quanto azione sapiente e coordinata, nel quadro di una comunanza attiva con gli altri e con il cosmo. Il tema viene trattato a partire da prospettive diverse, che sfumano una nell'altra come in un caleidoscopio dei saperi. La filosofia e le arti dinamiche prendono parola nei primi due capitoli, tracciando l'orizzonte in cui si stagliano le figure della legge evocate dalle altre discipline presenti nel volume: poesia e biologia, giurisprudenza e urbanistica, teologia, biopolitica e governo del fenomeno migratorio. Al confine tra queste discipline, nei loro rispettivi ambiti di applicazione e di indagine teorica, emerge la medesima esigenza di armonizzazione come legge profonda che norma l'agire sapiente e il sapere efficace. Il volume è arricchito da cinquantasette tavole a colori composte da Carlo Sini, che accompagnano e integrano il percorso filosofico da lui proposto nel Laboratorio di Mechrí.
