Negli anni della Repubblica fu sempre fiero avversario del neofascismo e attento tutore del ricordo e degli insegnamenti della Resistenza antifascista.Ciononostante, nell'opinione pubblica e nel discorso civile dell'Italia di oggi, il nome di Parri ricorre meno di quanto si meriterebbe. Questo volume riporta all'attenzione la complessa e nobile figura di un vero Padre della patria, che sempre si mise in luce in tutte le varie Italie del Novecento.
