Es resultado de los trabajos finales expuestos en las XXI Jornadas Internacionales de Patrimonio Industrial, celebradas en Gijón del 26 al 29 de septiembre de 2019.En el caso de las "geografías" se trata de enfatizar el análisis geográfico y cultural, lo necesario de estudiar y conocer de forma precisa y rigurosa el entorno territorial del Patrimonio Industrial.Las "geometrías", en esta casuística del patrimonio de la industrialización se orientaban en las aportaciones de los autores de los trabajos insertos en este libro cara a una doble visión del patrimonio Arquitectónico y del patrimonio tecnológico.Los "empleos" van referidos a un doble sentido: los dedicados a la refuncionalización y nuevos usos del patrimonio con los nuevos yacimientos de trabajo profesional en la conservación y también en la puesta en valor y posibilidades de activar una segunda vida de este histórico patrimonio industrial y cultural.
