El paralelismo histórico entre la Revolución de Mayo y la Independencia brasileña participa de la disimetría entre el entusiasmo ideológico y las producciones estéticas hasta que sobrevino el romanticismo como molde literario y teórico para pensar la nación y lo propio, y en tanto primera orientación cultural independentista. La poesía de Mayo, la revistaNiteróiy sus secuelas, el Salón Literario de Buenos Aires y los autores canónicos de mediados del siglo XIX exhiben una continuidad a veces dificultosa y otras veces francamente rebelde respecto de los textos coloniales que dieron un perfil y un nombre a los países, desde laCartade Caminha yLa Argentinade Centenera hasta las Academias brasileñas y el neoclasicismo rioplatense.En ese contexto el plan del presente tomo –regido por la imagen central del Paraná y de la Amazonia, trazando los contornos fluvial y selvático de cada literatura– marca un punto sobresaliente en los emprendimientos intelectuales que fomentan el ingreso del romanticismo a la región. A ellos se añade el papel de la prensa, tanto oficialista como opositora (y la dialéctica que se entabla entre ambas), y las formas de inclusión y exclusión de sujetos sociales a través de la práctica escrituraria –la gauchesca, el indigenismo y las manifestaciones abolicionistas– que recorren un siglo que promedia en la consolidación del Estado nacional en la Argentina y la proclamación de la República en Brasil.

Fazreil Amreen, unless asked, does not reveal his name. It is his nature to present his work in order to introduce himself. He is a citizen of a beautiful country, Malaysia and appreciates most aspects of life with joy and laughter. To avoid living a stereotypical, boring life, he holds on to this motto, "making it big", wherever he goes. Being a video game player, since the 8-bit era, he enjoys challenging virtual life, where nothing can stop him (which would be his motto in virtual life).
He loves trying out new things, especially those that require creativity.
