His family fell apart toward the end of his life, and he made some terrible decisions along the way. But through it all, he was always ready, if not immediately, to admit he was wrong and to turn to God and ask for forgiveness.
 
David poured out his heart to God in a whole series of poems and songs that make up most of the book of Psalms.
