"The present book " Compendium of Indian Potato Research (1992-2011); A Bibliography, Vol. 3" is third book in series of Indian Potato research bibliographies brought out by CPRI. It contains potato literature generated by Indian Potato researches during last 20 year (1992-2011) in the form of research articles, reviews, book chapters, technical bulletins and abstracts including scientific papers presented in seminars/symposia. This is a comprehensive compilation incorporating all potato literature published in CABI, AGRIS, AGRICOLA, Indian Science Abstract (ISA) and many national, International journals. The quantum and variety of information generated on potato crop is very high and amply reflected in various printed and electronic sources of agricultural information. While this sheer volumes of information pose challenges on one hand to potato scientists to keep themselves abreast of all latest development and laying their hand for access and use. The other hand, it provides an opportunity to information professionals to come out with a handy tool to address this problem. The present compilation is an attempt in this direction. It is hoped that this present volume would continue to be a valuable reference source for setting future course of action of all stake holders be it farmers, students, teachers, policy planners, entrepreneurs and scientists engaged in potato research and development.
