En el conjunto de actividades de la Cátedra Modelo Económico Sostenible de Valencia y su entorno, se presentan cuatro investigaciones que se consideran claves en el marco de la transformación del modelo económico valenciano para la ciudad de Valencia y su entorno inmediato. En el primer capítulo se presenta la información disponible sobre indicadores de sostenibilidad de la ciudad de Valencia y se comparan con otras ciudades españolas. En el siguiente capítulo, se analizan los principales indicadores del mercado de trabajo, económicos y sociales de la ciudad. En el tercer capítulo se revisan los activos de primer nivel para la consolidación de Valencia como la gran plataforma logística del Mediterráneo así como las dificultades que hasta el momento han existido, proponiendo una hoja de ruta. Finalmente, en el último capítulo se revisa el papel de las industrias creativas como impulsoras de la innovación y catalizadoras de la transformación económica. Se establece un marco conceptual que explica el efecto de las industrias creativas sobre la renta o la productividad agregada de la ciudad, complementándose con un análisis de contenido generado por usuarios de las principales redes sociales en el sector.
