Von 1911 bis1942 wirkte der religiössozialistische Pfarrer Emanuel Tischhauser (1868-1943) im Zürcher Kreis 4. Nach seinem Tod wurde die Liegenschaft Engelstrasse 63 in die neugegründete "Jugendheim-Stiftung Aussersihl" überführt. Diese änderte ihren Namen 1974 in "Pfarrer Emanuel Tischhauser-Stiftung " und ist heute die Trägerschaft des Quartieraltersheims Aussersihl.
