Alle konventionellen Bearbeitungsverfahren, auch unter Verwendung von Lasern bis in den Nanosekundenbereich, gehen jedoch mit QualitĂ€tseinbußen am Endprodukt einher.Femtosekundenlaser dagegen ermöglichen einen prĂ€zisen schĂ€digungsarmen Materialabtrag. Die ProduktivitĂ€t des Verfahrens wird an drei Anwendungsfeldern untersucht: der Mikrostrukturierung von OberflĂ€chen, dem Ausschneiden von Materialblöcken sowie der Erzeugung von Nanopartikeln in FlĂŒssigkeiten. FĂŒr jeden dieser Bereiche werden optimale Prozessbedingungen und Bearbeitungsparameter bestimmt. Erstmals demonstriert und untersucht wird unter anderem die Erzeugung stabiler Zirconiumdioxidnanopartikel durch Femtosekundenlaserabtrag in FlĂŒssigkeiten.Anwendungsschwerpunkt der untersuchten Verfahren ist die Mikrostukturierung der InnenflĂ€che von Zahnkronen: Durch lasererzeugte GrĂ€ben wird die Verklebung zwischen Probekörpern und einem Dentalbefestigungszement nachweislich verbessert.
