Den interkulturellen Sprecher zeichnet nach Michael Byram folgende Haltung (savoir ĂȘtre) aus: "curiosity and openness, readiness to suspend disbelief about other cultures and belief about one's own".1 Es bliebe aber unbefriedigend, wenn das Erlernen von Sprachen verbunden mit der AnnĂ€herung an andere Kulturen unvermittelt mit dem Sollen verknĂŒpft wĂŒrde, neugierig und offen zu werden sowie die Bereitschaft zu zeigen, andere Kulturen unvoreingenommen sowie die eigene Kultur distanziert zu betrachten. Deshalb wird im Folgenden untersucht, welche anthropologische Grundlage dieses savoir ĂȘtre voraussetzt. Mit der Anwendung relevanter Erkenntnisse der Neuen PhĂ€nomenologie auf den Bereich der interkulturellen PĂ€dagogik verbindet sich die Erwartung, dem Programm einer Heranbildung interkultureller Sprecher mehr Nachdruck zu verleihen.
