Um die begrenzte landwirtschaftliche Erzeugung konkurriert eine zunehmende Zahl möglicher Verwertungspfade. Neben der ursprünglichen Verwendung der pflanzlichen Erzeugnisse zur Ernährung von Menschen und Tieren, haben sich industrielle und energetische Nutzungsformen als weitere Verwendungsmöglichkeiten etabliert. Die zunehmende Nutzungskonkurrenz ruft allerdings kontroverse Diskussionen über die Priorität bei der Verwertung der verfügbaren Ressourcen aus. Ziel dieser Untersuchung ist die Aktualisierung und konzeptionelle Überarbeitung der in der Agrarwirtschaft angewendeten Aggregationsverfahren. Schwerpunkte liegen in der Ableitung eines geeigneten physischen Maßstabs, der die Erfassung der tierischen und pflanzlichen Produktion genauso ermöglicht, wie die erneuerbarer Energieträger. Weiterhin wird eine Bilanzierung und Analyse der Stoffströme innerhalb der Agrarwirtschaft vorgenommen.
