Die Förderung interdisziplinärer Kompetenzen von Studierenden ist ein zentrales Anliegen des seit 2011 aus Mitteln des Qualitätspakts Lehre geförderten Bildungsprojekts "Der Coburger Weg". Alle teilnehmenden Pilotstudiengänge und Koordinationsstellen der Hochschule Coburg haben mit diesem Weg konzeptionelles und organisatorisches Neuland betreten. Vier Jahre nach der erstmaligen Implementierung eines fakultätsübergreifenden interdisziplinären Modules im regulären Lehrbetrieb liefert die vorliegende wissenschaftliche Begleitstudie der Otto-Friedrich-Universität-Bamberg einen wichtigen Beitrag in Bezug auf die Förderung interdisziplinärer Kompetenzen: Der vorgenommenen externen Evaluation lassen sich im Rück- und Ausblick wertvolle Hinweise für die weitere Ausgestaltung des in Coburg beschrittenen Weges, aber auch für jeglichen Ansatz einer Förderung und Einschätzung interdisziplinärer Kompetenzen im Hochschulbereich entnehmen.
