CIBSE considered that it should provide guidance on the design of building facades for tall buildings using the expertise of fire safety consultants and specialist facade engineers within CIBSE. A new chapter on facade fire safety is included in this guide.Fire safety engineering is a continually developing art and science and users are advised to maintain a personal regime of professional development and to make use of new standards and techniques that will be introduced after the publication of this Guide.
