Aunque inacabados, ofrecen una nueva comprensión global sobre el desarrollo de la fenomenología pato?kiana, ya que constituyen la antesala concreta de sus proyectos de madurez. A partir de una particular noción de interioridad –concebida en sentido opuesto a la psicología introspeccionista y la reflexión egológica–, Pato?ka inspecciona la naturaleza de la vida como una resistencia a la objetivación que se coloca ante un correlato que la excede al mismo tiempo que la forma: el mundo. Estas nociones permiten entender no solo el devenir de su pensamiento, sino también el de toda la filosofía fenomenológica de finales del siglo pasado y sus derivas en nuestro presente.
