Louis Aragon escribió poco para el cine, pero sí sobre y con el cine. Lo roza y lo absorbe con intensidad, como material extraño y familiar, a lo largo de toda su obra. Una parte de su estética poética se inspira en el cine y se enfrenta con él, mientras su mirada obsesionada por la imagen fija o animada encuentra en la escritura cinematográfica unos estimulantes, unas metáforas y modelizaciones vitales. Por lo tanto, en Aragon, se deben atravesar poemas, prosas poéticas y textos críticos para captar este baile estético alrededor de un arte deseado, de una tentación de escritura quizá, y de una singular cinética de un pensamiento por la imagen. Este estudio se propone entrar, cuando resulte necesario, en el detalle de los textos (poemas y poemas en prosa), en particular en los casos de écfrasis fílmicas para permitir escuchar lo mejor posible la escritura aragoniana, reuniendo estos momentos de atención fuerte mediante unas presentaciones sintéticas que subrayen los momentos clave en los que la alquimia poética supone una relación específica con el cine.
