This thesis presents the development of a multidisciplinary tool chain framework to quantify the impact of turbine manufacturing imperfections based on CFD and FEM adjoint methods. The application range of the adjoint method is verified and validated using a public and proprietary test case, focusing on the objectives mass flow, efficiency and probabilistic low cycle fatigue life time.In total 102 turbine vane scans are analyzed to validate the approach using real turbine manufacturing imperfections. Finally, the tool chain is applied to derive objective-based tolerance limits, instead of geometric-based tolerances. Thus, paving the way for the introduction of a real digital twin for each manufactured turbine blade.
