El diseño de una biblioteca es uno de los mayores desafíos que aborda un bibliotecario y puede ser una de sus mayores satisfacciones profesionales. La biblioteca deja de diseñarse en torno a las colecciones en papel, para hacerlo pensando en los servicios y en las personas. Por esta razón, el propósito de este libro es dar a conocer las tendencias más significativas en el diseño de edificios y espacios de biblioteca, como una proyección hacia el futuro. Se pretende aportar esos referentes necesarios a la comunidad bibliotecaria, reforzados con una serie de ejemplos.
