Scrivere. In un mio libro ho scritto che uno scrittore scrive. È la sua ragione, è la sua vita. È anche la mia. Come Malone attaccato al suo mozzicone di matita? No. Malone, nel racconto di Samuel Beckett, inventa storie, come la maggior parte degli scrittori, poi scrive. Io non invento storie. Costruisco sentieri e percorsi che sono la striscia che la scrittura procedendo lascia dietro di sé come la bava di una lumaca sulla superficie di pietra di quel muretto. Quale muretto? Uno scrittore qui aprirebbe lo spazio a una storia. Io, al contrario, faccio l'inventario delle tracce argentee della lumaca. Ne seguo il percorso, anche se, nel giro degli anni, le volute si sovrappongono, e i molti itinerari sembrano sempre più un unico itinerario. Lungo questo itinerario i miei autori, che mi hanno sempre accompagnato.
