Creating a Selection Set
For most of the tools, the default object selection method is to use the pick box (cursor) and select one entity at a time. You can also click in blank area and select objects by using the Window option or the Crossing option. In Chapter 2, these two options were discussed. The other options used for selection are listed below and are discussed in this chapter.
Last CPolygon Add Undo Previous Fence Box SIngle ALL Group AUto Remove
WPolygon Multiple
Last
This option is used to select the last drawn object, which is partially or fully visible in the current display. This is the most suitable option to select the last drawn object while editing it. Keep in mind that if the last drawn object is not in the current display, the last drawn object in the current display will be selected. Although a selection can be formed using the Last option, only one object is selected at a time. However, you can use the Last option a number of times but it will require you to start the command again. You can use the Last selection option with any tool that requires the selection of multiple objects (for example, Copy, Move, and Erase). To select the last drawn object by using this option, invoke a particular tool, and then enter LAST or L at the Select objects prompt to use this object selection method. we need to write to the point.
Exercise 1 Erase
Draw the profile shown in Figure 5-1(a) by using the Line tool. Then, use the Last option of the Erase tool to erase the three most recently drawn lines to obtain Figure 5-1(d).

Previous
The Previous option is used to select the objects that were selected in the previous selection set. Generally, AutoCAD LT saves the previous selection set; therefore, you can select those objects again by using the Previous option, instea...
