Die absichtliche Einfuhr und das unbeabsichtigte Einschleppen gebietsfremder Artenstellen weltweit eine wichtige GefĂ€hrdungsursache fĂŒr die biologische Vielfalt dar.Dadurch entsteht Handlungsbedarf auf unterschiedlichsten Ebenen und insbesondereauch im Naturschutz. HĂ€ufig fĂŒhren jedoch unkoordinierte Maßnahmen sogar zueiner Förderung der Ausbreitung gebietsfremder Arten. Es sind differenzierte Handlungskonzepteerforderlich, die die Auswirkung der Arten sowie deren Ausbringungund Ausbreitung berĂŒcksichtigen.Im Rahmen eines vom Bundesamt fĂŒr Naturschutz (BfN) beauftragten F+E-Vorhabenswurden fĂŒr insgesamt 168 naturschutzfachlich problematische gebietsfremdeArten alle vorliegenden Erkenntnisse ĂŒber durchgefĂŒhrte Maßnahmen zur Vorsorge, Beseitigung, Kontrolle und Nutzung/Entsorgung zusammengetragen und hinsichtlichErfolg und Nutzen bewertet. Darauf aufbauend wurden zusĂ€tzlich Empfehlungen fĂŒrdas allgemeine Managementkonzept der konkreten Art in Bezug auf deren Verbreitungssituationin Deutschland erarbeitet.Mit den Tieren liegt der zweite Band des Management-Handbuches vor, in deminsgesamt 42 Wirbeltier- und 38 Wirbellosearten behandelt werden. Das Handbuchsoll fĂŒr EntscheidungstrĂ€ger eine verlĂ€ssliche Basis fĂŒr die Entscheidungsfindung zurAnwendung von Maßnahmen bei den behandelten Arten liefern, die sich insbesondereauch aus den Vorgaben des Bundesnaturschutzgesetzes und der EU-VerordnungNr. 1143/2014 zum Umgang mit gebietsfremden Arten im Naturschutz ergeben.
