Die Windkraft wird in Deutschland derzeit auch im Wald massiv ausgebaut. Zahlreiche Fledermausarten sind davon durch Lebensraumverluste und Kollisionen mit Windenergieanlagen (WEA) betroffen. Im Forschungsvorhaben "Untersuchungen zur Minderung der Auswirkungen von Windkraftanlagen auf FledermĂ€use, insbesondere im Wald" des BfN wurde in verschiedenen Fallstudien der Kenntnisstandzur Ăkologie und Verbreitung verschiedener Waldfledermausarten erweitert. In mehreren Metastudien wurden Verbreitungsdaten (Wochenstubenvorkommen undakustische Daten sowohl in BodennĂ€he als auch in der Höhe) ausgewertet. In Quartiergebieten ausgewĂ€hlter Arten (Mopsfledermaus, Zwergfledermaus und Kleinabendsegler) wurden zudem die HöhenaktivitĂ€ten spezifisch untersucht sowiedie PhĂ€nologie und Quartier- und Raumnutzung betrachtet.Auf der Basis dieser Ergebnisse werden gezielte Empfehlungen fĂŒr Erfassungen und MaĂnahmen beim Bau von WEA im Wald gegeben, die Behörden und VorhabenstrĂ€gern als Grundlage fĂŒr die PrĂŒfung und Bewertung von Fledermausvorkommen in WĂ€ldern dienen sollen.
