Im Jahr 2013 wurde der dritte Nationale FFH-Bericht gemÀà Art. 17 der Richtlinie 92/43/EWG (FFH-RL) fĂŒr die Berichtsperiode 2007 â 2012 an die EU-Kommission ĂŒbermittelt. Damit gibt es nach dem Bericht 2007 zum zweiten Mal einen umfassenden Bericht zur Bewertung des Erhaltungszustands (EHZ) fĂŒr alle in Deutschland vorkommenden Lebensraumtypen (LRT) und Arten der FFH-RL, sodass nun ein Vergleich des Gesamterhaltungszustandes aller LRT und Arten möglich ist. Die Analyse der Entwicklungstrends verdeutlicht die Handlungsnotwendigkeiten in besonderem MaĂe.Ziel des Workshops war es daher, einerseits einen kritischen Blick auf die fĂŒr die Datenaggregation und die EHZ-Bewertung von LRT und Arten verwendeten Methoden zu werfen und Möglichkeiten fĂŒr methodische Verbesserungen und Weiterentwicklungen zu erörtern und mit der EU- Kommission zu diskutieren. Andererseits sollten Handlungsmöglichkeiten und -prioritĂ€ten fĂŒr die Verbesserung des EHZ von LRT und Arten in den biogeografischen Regionen angesichts zahlreicher schlechter Bewertungen im Jahr 2013 diskutiert und anhand konkreter Projekte verdeutlicht werden.Der Band enthĂ€lt neben der Analyse der vergangenen Berichtsperiode Hinweise zur Weiterentwicklung des Berichtsverfahrens aus Sicht der EU-Kommission sowie eine EinschĂ€tzung der Ergebnisse aus Sicht eines Naturschutzverbandes und des BfN. Handlungskonzepte bzw. Beispiele strategischer PrioritĂ€tensetzung werden aus den LĂ€ndern Baden-WĂŒrt- temberg, Hamburg, Nordrhein-Westfalen und Rheinland-Pfalz vorgestellt und durch weitere Projekte z. B. aus dem Bundesprogramm Biologische Vielfalt ergĂ€nzt. Synergieeffekte mit der Wasserrahmenrichtlinie und der Meeresstrategie-Rahmenrichtlinie werden aufgezeigt.
