About This Book

This study presented a locally manufactured concentrating solar power system (LM-CSPS). It is used for concentrating solar power hence heat energy is generated. Our study is achieved basically in four parts; the first, manufacture LM-CSPS depending on the concentrating solar power theories and using local industry facilities with limited funds, and secondly, study and accomplish a correlation between the solar radiation and the temperature using measured data in Fayoum region. The third, estimate and adopt a comparison between the solar radiation in some selected regions in Egypt depending on previous measured temperatures using an empirical relation relating the solar radiation and temperature. The fourth, calculate the useful heat energy and the thermal efficiency of LM-CSPS in four days distributed in different seasons to anticipate the best energy generating times.
