The Irish Wolfhound - A Complete Anthology of the Dog is the fullest single-breed gathering in this series, drawing on the rare kennel literature of 1897 to 1935, including H. W. Huntington's My Dog and I (1897), Arthur Craven's Dogs of the World (1931) and Walter Hutchinson's Hutchinson's Dog Encyclopaedia (1935). Their subject is a hound that coursed wolf and elk, faded with the wolf itself, and was rebuilt from the 1860s by Captain George Augustus Graham out of the surviving stock, the Deerhound and the Great Dane.

The chapters give the points, the enormous scale, the temperament, the revival kennels and the celebrated winners with their pedigrees, and the original photographs are reproduced throughout.
