Auf einer Restaurantterrasse mit Blick auf den Golf von Neapel hört er zum ersten Mal den Namen Antonio Esposito. Ein Allerweltsname, aber dieser Antonio Esposito ist anders, ist ein gestohlenes Migrantenkind aus Westafrika, das in einen Camorra-Clan aufgenommen wurde, eine kriminelle Karriere machte und dann spurlos verschwand.Das mögliche Schicksal des schwarzen Camorrista lässt den Erzähler nicht mehr los. Immer wieder kehrt er nach Neapel zurück, sieht sein verpasstes Leben mehr und mehr in dem von Antonio verwirklicht. Aber was ist aus Antonio geworden? Ist er tot? Hat er eine neue Identität angenommen? Oder lebt er im hoffnungslos überfüllten Castel Volturno als Namenloser unter Tausenden von afrikanischen Migranten?
