Este libro identifica los actores que han participado en este proceso de presión transnacional sobre México, cómo ha reaccionado el gobierno y qué violaciones a derechos humanos han generado mayor presión, a partir de cuatro estudios de caso: el conflicto armado en Chiapas, la desaparición y el asesinato de mujeres en Ciudad Juárez, el conflicto de la APPO en Oaxaca y la actual lucha contra el narcotráfico.
