Esta investigación analiza cómo se construyen diversas estrategias basadas en relaciones de cortesía entre actores del campo periodístico, y de qué manera influyen estas en la censura y manipulación de información durante los procesos de producción noticiosa de los periódicos de Baja California. La metodología se basa en un análisis etnográfico del campo periodístico de Baja California y sus relaciones de poder, mismos que se complementan con 30 entrevistas a profundidad, un análisis hemerográfico y una netnografía realizada en redes sociales de periodistas, editores, jefes de información, políticos, funcionarios públicos y empresarios.
