divEn México se vive el renacimiento y florecimiento de uno de los proyectos originales de la Antropología: el esfuerzo por concebir la vida y el mundo desde el punto de vista de la gente con quien hacemos investigación y de tomar en serio estos entendimientos en el sentido de colocarlos en el mismo nivel intelectual de la ciencia. Este esfuerzo implica llevar a cabo la investigación de otra forma, verla como aprendizaje y no simplemente como la recolección de datos. Este trabajo es una contribución importante a dicho renacimiento, además de ser un ejemplo para seguir por la amplitud y detalle de su etnografía. Sugiere que es hora de realmente poner en práctica el multiculturalismo del cual se escucha tanto hoy en día y de empezar a integrar el conocimiento de otras culturas, como la nahua, no sólo en la teoría antropológica sino a la vida urbana-moderna en general./div
