El presente libro es resultado de un esfuerzo colectivo por pensar en torno a la Ciencia Política como disciplina, su estado y sus perspectivas y, también, respecto a ciertos problemas y dilemas que plantea la realidad política y social contemporánea en el ámbito geográfico de América Latina. El punto de inicio de este trabajo conjunto se ubica en las jornadas académicas celebradas en la Universidad Iberoamericana, Ciudad de México, durante el mes de octubre del 2014, en el marco de la celebración del 50 aniversario de la Licenciatura en Ciencias Políticas y Administración Pública de esa universidad.
