Recorrer un evangelio se puede hacer de muchas maneras. La finalidad de este trabajo es ante todo iluminar los pasajes que aparecen en la liturgia del año B. El texto de san Marcos se va desgranando en ella al ritmo de los domingos del tiempo ordinario. La proximidad del Reino de Dios en el corazón de lo cotidiano es lo que se proclama y propone a los discípulos como horizonte. En la medida en que el oyente de ayer y de hoy se identifica con el retrato de discípulo esbozado por Marcos, es invitado, por una parte, a una lucidez sobre sí mismo y sus debilidades (especialmente la cruz) y, por otra, se le anima a la fidelidad (el Crucificado ha vencido a la muerte).
