Quando però la speranza viene celebrata ed usata strumentalmente, senza cercare di guardare e di far guardare in profondità gli eventi, diventa illusione e per chi ha sofferto e per chi sta soffrendo non basta più.
Francesco Argirò è da sempre appassionato della relazione e dei meccanismi che si verificano all'interno delle persone e delle dinamiche che si sviluppano nel tessuto sociale e nella Comunità Umana, da trent'anni è inserito, in vari ambiti e servizi, all'interno della Caritas Diocesana di Piacenza-Bobbio; negli ultimi dodici anni è stato Responsabile dell'Area Promozione Umana, quella dedicata alla fragilità e a chi l'accompagna.
Scrive da sempre, perché ha sempre trovato nella scrittura un luogo in cui poter fissare avvenimenti, intuizioni e frustrazioni, e nella poesia un mezzo efficace di espressione e di comunicazione, pur essendo consapevole di trovarsi in una società che usa altri mezzi, più veloci e apparentemente più efficaci.
