Un primer bloc temàtic aporta informació documentada al coneixement de grans escriptors: Arnau de Vilanova i la persecució 'post mortem' dels seus escrits espirituals; la vida a València del cronista Muntaner; contribucions a la genealogia del llinatge March al segle XIV, o a la família de Joanot Martorell en aquella mateixa època. Igualment, l'herència de Francesc Ferrer forneix proves de la identitat del poeta valencià. El segon grup es consagra a l'anàlisi d'algunes biblioteques significatives. La de l'Hospital dels Beguins il·lustra sobre l'espiritualitat d'aquell corrent religiós, mentre que les de Maria de Castella, reina d'Aragó, al Palau del Real, i la del canonge Guillem Serra són exemples d'una notable llibreria reial i d'una col·lecció eclesiàstica posseïdora de còdexs de gran vàlua, conservats fins avui a la Catedral de València. Clou la sèrie un estudi sobre Melcior Miralles, capellà d'Alfons el Magnànim, i les fonts sobre la guerra de Nàpols.
