Dialogue and Argumentation in the Public Space

About this book

Dialogue and Argumentation in the Public Space, aims to illustrate, by means of a philosophical approach, the dialogue and argumentation in the confrontational arena of the contemporary public space. The dialogue and argumentation in the public space reveal their role and purpose at crucial moments in our history, influencing destinies, options and political orientations. Yet, the new arena of the two elements appears to be the virtual public space, capable of mobilizing the masses not only by causing them to go out in the street, but also by convincing and determining them to take action. Hence, the victory - or perhaps the success – of a character such as the president elected by the Romanians in 2014 is basically one in the field of debate, dialogue and argumentation in the real and, even more so, in the virtual public space.
