Indo além, podemos contar com a ajuda do osciloscópio para levantar as curvas características de tais componentes em que, muito além de um simples teste, teremos informações importantes sobre seu estado e o modo de usá-lo.Neste volume focalizaremos os principais testes que podem ser realizados com esses componentes semicondutores usando desde simples provador de continuidade ou multímetro até recursos mais elaborados que envolvam o uso de instrumentos sofisticados como geradores de funções, osciloscópios e outros.
