A obra em questão mostra o cotidiano e a história de quatro mulheres trans ou travestis em situação de rua na cidade de Manaus. Junto a essa realidade relatada por elas em conversas informais, o autor realiza uma pesquisa que busca discutir questões de gênero, exclusão social, transfobia, cisgeneridade e violência. Além das vivências das quatro protagonistas dessa obra, diversas autoras trans servem de base para se questionar uma sociedade cisgênera que não dá conta de compreender a complexidade e riqueza das nossas potências de ser. Nesse cenário limitado, o psicólogo fala sobre as falhas de ser um pesquisador cisgênero em conversa com pessoas transgêneras, mostrando, desta forma a insuficiência de uma estrutura cisgênera através de si mesmo. Estimula-se, assim, que pesquisadoras e pesquisadores demarquem lugares de fala em suas pesquisas e apareçam mais em seus trabalhos, desmitificando um lugar de produções impessoais e verticais diante de pessoas, que não são meros objetos de análises.
