Este libro presenta una investigación exhaustiva del rendimiento de la transmisión de la fronthaul móvil (MFH) de 5G para la futura red inalámbrica de 5G basada en la agregación de múltiples frecuencias intermedias (IF) y apoyada por la tecnología analógica de radio sobre fibra (RoF). Se examinan cuatro escenarios que describen el entorno del enlace de transmisión de fibra monomodo (SMF) para abordar el efecto de la dispersión de la fibra y aumentar la capacidad de transmisión utilizando la tecnología de multiplexación por división de longitudes de onda (WDM). Los cuatro escenarios cubren el funcionamiento de 1550 nm, 1310 nm, 1550 nm con fibra de compensación de dispersión (DCF), y el entorno WDM de banda C. Los resultados de la simulación se presentan tanto para el ancho de banda del canal móvil de 200 MHz y 1 GHz y con los formatos de modulación QPSK, 16QAM y 64QAM. Los resultados de la simulación se obtienen utilizando el software comercial Optisystem V.14.1.
