Este livro apresenta os resultados de uma pesquisa bibliográfica sobre o currículo na educação profissional técnica de nível médio entre o período de 2008 e 2018. Com base em autores como Ferreira, Frigotto, Sacristán, Ramos, Romanelli, Schwartzman, entre outros, contextualiza-se historicamente a educação profissional no Brasil. Apresenta-se inicialmente a história do Centro Estadual de Educação Tecnológica Paula Souza e, em seguida, apresentam-se as teses e dissertações que abordam o currículo na educação profissional de nível técnico. A metodologia aplicada na pesquisa é exploratória, de abordagem qualitativa e quantitativa, nos trabalhos científicos disponíveis no depositário nacional da Biblioteca Digital Brasileira de Teses e Dissertações com temas baseados na produção científica sobre currículo na educação profissional técnica de nível médio, com foco no curso de Informática. A partir do depositário nacional da Biblioteca Digital Brasileira de Teses e Dissertações, dentro de uma análise de início com mais de 170 trabalhos, foi possível identificar 35 produções acadêmico-científicas que investigam a temática educação profissional e currículo. A partir da leitura criteriosa dos resumos, foram selecionados nove trabalhos que abordam especificamente o currículo na educação profissional técnica de nível médio.
