Hace ya varios años que en cualquiera de los ámbitos en los que se tratan temas teóricos o cuestiones prácticas relacionadas con el mundo del trabajo, se visualizan notorios cambios que tienen que ver con nuevas tendencias, instrumentos, sujetos, instituciones y políticas que afloran y se expanden, se articulan e interactúan y que influyen y perfilan a los actores del mundo del trabajo, entendiendo por tales sindicatos, empleadores, asociaciones de empleadores, instituciones de innovación tecnológica, estados e instituciones internacionales. Este trabajo intenta describir estos fenómenos desde una mirada sindical y poner sobre la mesa de debate algunas tendencias de cambio que, aunque se encuentran en desarrollo, necesitan profundizarse en el entramado sindical. Los autores, participantes activos del mundo sindical global, desarrollan en un lenguaje llano y sencillo, un conjunto de temas que van desde una lectura de la globalización hasta el concepto de sindicalismo global, tomando como referencia a la UNI-Sindicato Global y a la Federaciòn Argentina de Empleados de Comercio y Servicios, a la que pertenecen.
