Si tratta della storia del popolo ebraico dalle origini al 66 d.C., notevole in quanto espressione del giudaismo ellenizzato. Nelle Antichità è contenuto anche il cosiddetto Testimonium flavianum, un breve passo che cita la predicazione e la morte di Gesù.
