Ein banaler NSDAP-FunktionĂ€r aus Niederbayern entpuppt sich als Organisator von Holocaust-Verbrechen in der Ukraine. Als Fachlehrer beruflich gescheitert, avanciert Josef GlĂŒck 1934 zum NSDAP-Kreisleiter in Regen und 1936 zum BĂŒrgermeister von Zwiesel. Geschickt macht er sich unentbehrlich an der Seite der Gauleitung in Bayreuth. Als Sonderbeauftragter des Reichsministers Alfred Rosenberg gelangt Josef GlĂŒck 1942 in die Ukraine und beteiligt sich an der Liquidation des Ghettos von Luzk – 25.000 JĂŒdinnen und Juden sterben in Massenerschießungen durch deutsche Polizeibeamte. 1944/45 koordiniert Josef GlĂŒck in Italien als Leiter der deutschen Besatzung in Udine den Einsatz von 40.000 Kosaken und Kaukasiern gegen italienische Partisanen. Diese Biografie geht verschĂŒtteten Spuren nach, entlarvt die skrupellosen WinkelzĂŒge eines gerissenen Karrieristen, zerrt sorgsam verschwiegene Verbrechen ans Tageslicht, gibt vergessenen Opfern eine Stimme.
