En este libro exponemos una investigación a propósito de A Letter to a Young Poet, ensayo escrito por Virginia Woolf y publicado por Thee Hogarth Press en 1932, así como de sus traducciones al castellano. El objetivo principal de la investigación es proponer una retraducción comentada y anotada, de A Letter to a Young Poet, de donde se deriva la necesidad de indagar sobre el lugar de este ensayo en la obra de Woolf y el contexto en que fue escrito; de caracterizar el género del ensayo epistolar; de discutir las traducciones actuales al castellano; de discurrir sobre la pertinencia, las motivaciones y el proceso de la retraducción, y de reflexionar sobre las necesidades propias de este género en el ámbito de la traducción. Esperamos con esta publicación realizar un aporte interdisciplinar a los estudios de la traducción y a los estudios literarios.
