La Cátedra Universitaria para la Cultura de Paz —que fue creada por la comunidad académica del Centro Universitario de Tonalá el 11 de octubre del 2019 con el objetivo de transformar la cultura hacia una visión de paz—, ha entendido muy bien a lo largo de estos primeros años de vida, que dicha transformación no se logrará sin realizar esfuerzos conjuntos por visibilizar los problemas que algunos filósofos, sociólogos y antropólogos nos han advertido en una crisis civilizatoria a la que además se le suma una catástrofe climática que ha puesto en nuestras manos una bomba de tiempo.
