Nach einiger Zeit ziehen die NGOs weiter und hinterlassen eine "losgelöste Zivilgesellschaft".Das NGO-Spiel handelt von den unbeabsichtigten und nicht selten negativen Ergebnissen der Friedenskonsolidierung.McMahons empirische Untersuchungen in verschiedenen PostkonfliktlĂ€ndern, ihre zahlreichen Interviews mit Menschen im Kosovo, Bosnien, aber auch z.B. in Vietnam, stĂŒtzen die provokante These der Autorin, dass NGOs nicht so sehr eine Hilfe bei der Schaffung dauerhaften Friedens sind, sondern vielmehr Teil der anhaltenden Probleme in postkonfliktuellen Gesellschaften.
