Mit diesem dritten Teilband ist die Edition von Hegels Vorlesungen über die Wissenschaft der Logik abgeschlossen. Er enthält im ersten Teil als Sekundäre Überlieferung die »Zusätze«, die der Herausgeber des ersten, der Logik gewidmeten Teils der »Enzyklopädie der philosophischen Wissenschaften« (1840) auf der Grundlage von Manuskripten Hegels und Vorlesungsnachschriften erstellt hat. Von diesen Materialien hat sich nur eine Nachschrift erhalten; die ihr entnommenen Partien werden in einem quellenkritischen Apparat identifiziert. – Der Editorische Bericht gibt Auskunft über die Entwicklungsgeschichte der Logik-Vorlesungen, über die Quellen der vorliegenden Ausgabe sowie über die früheren Editionen. – Die Anmerkungen erschließen die Hinweise des Textes aller drei Teilbände; das Literaturverzeichnis nennt alle in den Anmerkungen genannten Publikationen, und das Personenverzeichnis listet alle im Text und im Anhang erwähnten Personen aus dem persönlichen oder gedanklichen Umkreis Hegels auf.
