He convinces her to visit his west Texas ranch. Within days she realizes her infatuation has led her to make a huge mistake. If the dry, dead land wasn't depressing enough, Yancy McCone shows his true character and he isn't a man she can love. She wants to go home to her farm...and to Luther.

Yancy doesn't handle rejection well, especially being dumped for an illegal farmhand, and he is determined to have her or ruin her.
