La Teoria Smysl-Tekst (Senso-Testo) è ormai ampiamente nota agli
studiosi non solo nell'ambito della slavistica internazionale.
A quarant'anni dalla sua nascita, la distanza critica favorita dalla intercorsa
distanza temporale consente di vedere quanto profondamente essa
abbia determinato la linguistica russa contemporanea in alcuni suoi
aspetti rilevanti.
Nella TST affonda le sue radici la Moskovskaja semanti?eskaja škola
(Scuola semantica di Mosca), una fra le più prestigiose scuole linguistiche
della Russia contemporanea, fondata e diretta da Apresjan.
Significativi sono i nessi della TST con il Nacional'nyj korpus
russkogo jazyka (Corpus Nazionale della lingua russa). L'analizzatore
alla base del modulo sintattico del Corpus Nazionale viene utilizzato infatti
per l'annotazione sintattica dei testi a un sistema notazionale che riprende
sostanzialmente quanto proposto da Mel'?uk nella TST per la
rappresentazione sintattica degli enunciati. Il componente sintattico del
Corpus Nazionale della lingua russa è inoltre parte costitutiva di un sistema
multifunzionale di elaborazione del linguaggio naturale, fondato
sulla implementazione informatica della TST.
Molteplici sono le produzioni scientifiche – saggi o volumi – che mettono
a tema aspetti sia specifici sia più generali della TST. Il tema di ricerca
su cui verte il presente volume – le origini della TST e la sua particolare
collocazione al crocevia fra tradizione linguistica e innovazione –
è stato invece affrontato dagli studiosi o in modo indiretto e quasi inconsapevole
