In questa guida ho raccolto le nozioni principali che ho appreso negli anni in fatto di fotografia e di come, applicandole alla smart-photography, si possano ottenere buoni risultati a prescindere dal mezzo con cui si scatta. Quando scrivo, non importa di quale argomento, metto sempre davanti agli occhi, al cuore e alla mente i miei genitori, che hanno passato la gioventù da un bel po'. Questo mi aiuta e mi sprona a essere il più chiara, semplice e precisa possibile, affinché quanto dico risulti comprensibile e possa essere messo in pratica anche da chi è nato quando i computer, gli smartphone e le fotocamere digitali ancora non si erano diffusi. Credo che la cultura, tutta la cultura, debba essere universale e arrivare a chiunque, ovunque e così quando affermo che questa guida è alla portata di chiunque, anche di chi non ha alcuna conoscenza in materia, lo dico sul serio (l'ho fatta leggere a mia mamma e il messaggio è arrivato forte e chiaro). Mi piace pensare che le persone possano apprendere come ottenere il meglio dalle fotocamere dei propri smartphone e, tornando a casa, essere fiere e felici di mostrare gli scatti presi, anche fossero quelli di una festa di compleanno. Volutamente la struttura di questo manuale pone in prima battuta un'infarinatura sulle regole di base della fotografia, e solo poi entra nel merito della smart-photography vera e propria. Se non si conoscono i fondamenti di una buona immagine, infatti, neanche la macchina fotografica più prestante al mondo può salvarci. Le nozioni raccontate sono accompagnate da esempi fotografici, rigorosamente scattati con diversi smartphone che negli anni ho avuto tra le mani, per dare un senso reale e concreto a quanto ho scritto.
